Photo Hub

As part of our Outlook.com React refresh, I designed a photo hub to both aggregate and curate photos from your email as well as third-party oAuth integrations. I worked closely with the OneDrive and Outlook design teams to ensure we built an experience that had great utility and still felt distinctly like Outlook.com.

Office 365 Integration

After analyzing Office 365 Customer behavior we learned that customers who engaged with Outlook were more likely to renew their subscription for another year. I led a design exercise to explore what a closer integrated Outlook and Office 365 experience would be like and presented the vision to the CVP of Office.

Document Collaboration

While at Outlook I worked on desktop, mobile and touch-based Outlook as well as multiple major releases of Outlook.com (merging Exchange with Hotmail and updating Outlook.com to React). I designed parts of the entire web experience and above are areas of where I helped to improve the document collaboration experience.

Cortana Integration

One of the fundamental issues of email communication is the fact that the signal to noise ratio is way off. People receive way more email than they actually need so we designed a way to filter out less important email. This is quite a shift for the average email user so I worked with writers and other design leads on the Cortana team to create an experience to introduce this shift to the user.
